About Me:
I am a wife, mama, teacher, author. I am the proud founder of The Ruthie Lou Foundation and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®. and author of the books Navigating the Unknown: An Immediate Guide When Experiencing the Loss of Your Baby and Our Only Time, Stories of Pregnancy/ Infant Loss with Strategies for Health Professionals.
My most sacred role is being "mama" to my 3 beautiful children; my daughter, Ruthie Lou (8/9/11-9/10/11) and my sons, Reid and Adam. I have learned so much from my children, they have propelled my passion for helping others.
When my daughter died, I felt thrown into this sea of grief that I didn't ask for and never wanted. I was constantly looking for ways to heal the sadness I was feeling. I looked for those who had survived my experience because I didn't believe that I could continue living with the pain of my broken heart. I quickly learned that grief is natural and an emotional response to loss, including the loss of dreams, hopes and expectations that we held for our future and I also discovered that healing was a choice but would require active work on my part.
I am so grateful to have discovered the Grief Recovery Method. In becoming certified, I have personally experienced the emotional release that occurs when you work this program and am here to support and guide you through the Grief Recovery Method.
